Even as it traced Tui’s story, soon in the centre of the stage was Robin Griffin, the woman detective who gets involved with Tui’s case, played by Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss. Moss’s Kiwi accent may have wobbled about, but her understated characterisation of a hard woman with a past she doesn’t want to remember was absorbing.
