Will I have to work shifts? glipizide mg Rates can only go down further from here. The new gov't is doing nothing to stimulate the economy as mining investment declines. That is evidenced by rising unemployment. As the private sector declines gov't spending has to increase to take up the slack if they want the economy to grow. Increased gov't spending multiplies as it works its way through the economy and eventually comes back as taxes on employment and profits and reduces the need for tax outlays on benefits. Instead the new gov't is intent on cutting a wide range of expenditures on benefits and also cutting taxes on overseas entities that would have contributed to the revenue base without impacting on local spending. So in the absence of any stimulus from the gov't the RBA will have to cut interest rates further but that won't do any good as people fearful about the future choose to save or pay off their mortgages. And of course reduced interest rates on savings reduces the spending capacity of those who rely on their savings for income. It could take 3 years for this decline to end or at least until this new gov't drops its present contractionary ideology.
