Young people who have affordable access to a doctor are less likely to show up sick for work at the restaurant you visit. If they see a doctor while they are young they are more likely to be dissuaded from poor lifestyle choices (smoking, bad diet, untreated low level hypertension) that lead to low productivity and becoming a burden on the State in later years. It does our economy no favor to ration healthcare by wealth. We will pay one way or the other.
